Dislocations

The Dislocations series Dislocationsbegun in 2020, is rooted in that paradoxical moment when the same tremor ran through the world and bound us all together, while each of us was confined behind the closed doors of our own interior space.

Absolute black — the total absence of light — does not exist. Black is a colour with countless temperatures, depths and undertones: it may be the black of calcined lava, of jet, of graphite or Mars black…
White, too, has its own temperatures, reflections and particularities: alabaster, ivory, titanium white… It can be pure, immaculate white or the translucent whiteness of light itself — the diaphanous spectrum of dawn, which can only be born out of darkness.

In the deepest dark of night, auroras take root.
